Shop for Opportunity
Annual Fundraiser Benefits Palm Beach’s
Oldest Charity
An opportunity for fun is knocking! The
annual Opportunity
Holiday Luncheon & Boutique on
December 9th at
The Beach Club promises to be a shopper’s paradise for the
social set.
Twelve vendors have committed to the
annual event and shoppers looking for one-of-a-kind gifts
will delight in what they find. Pet
lovers will be eager to get their paws on Rory Mackay’s hand
illustrated stationary. The Palm Beach artist’s stationery
line that features people’s pets has been mentioned on
Oprah.com and in New York’s Quest Magazine.
Attendees will also be buzzing about
HIVE. Palm
Beach interior designer, Sara McCann, is bringing select
items from her furniture, lighting and home accessories
store to the fundraiser.
“Opportunity
has been a tradition in education for more than 75 years in
Palm Beach and has attracted the support of a lot of young
families this year” said
Tara Grönberg, who is chairing the event along with Joan Klann
and Sarah Miller. “So this year’s luncheon will be a perfect
mix of tradition and fresh new experiences,” Grönberg said.
Each year the luncheon also honors
a community member who demonstrates a spirit of giving with
the Winifred C. Anthony Award. The R.I.S.E. Award is given
to an individual or family served by Opportunity who has
achieved success.
Since 1939 Opportunity Early Childhood
Education & Family Center has been providing developmental
programs for the children of working families in Palm Beach
County. Opportunity currently serves 96 children, ages 6
weeks to 5 years.
Please join us on Wednesday,
December 9 from 10:30am to 2pm at The Beach Club for
Opportunity’s 2015
Holiday Luncheon & Boutique and
Shop for Opportunity! Proceeds benefit the programs for the
children and families of Opportunity Early Childhood
Education & Family Center. Tickets are available at www.opportunitypbc.org
