Southeast Florida Hosts Annual Emerald Awards Celebration
Special
Recognition Awarded to Judi Richards
Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida will
honor six women from Palm Beach County at
their annual Emerald Awards on February 20, 2016. These
women exemplify
the National Initiatives of Girls Scouts and serve as role
models for today’s girls.
The following five women will be receiving awards for
outstanding leadership in selective fields:
· Laura
Kerr in
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
· Lisa
Park in
Financial Literacy
· Elizabeth
Cayson in
Healthy Living
· Alana
Edwards in
Environmental Leadership
· Mary
Wong in
Global Citizenship
In addition,
Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida is honoring Judi
Richards with
the Lifetime Achievement Award for Philanthropy. This
special recognition celebrates Judi’s extensive
philanthropic efforts throughout our community.
The Emerald
Awards honorary event chairs are Kathryn Vecellio, Lois
Pope, Suzi Goldsmith and Donna Mulholland. Again
this year, Tami Donnally will be the event committee chair.
Joining her on the Emerald Awards host committee are Carol
Bernton, Jennifer Chiarenza, Terry Gearing, Virginia Spencer
and MaryAnn Stetson.
