honoring world-renowned
Chef Jacques Pépin, on
Sunday, July 29, 2018,
in Jeff’s Kitchen at
Hayground School,
Bridgehampton. Five-star
chefs will cook for
guests as they
celebrate Chef
Pépin. The
benefit dinner will
raise much- needed
financial aid for
Hayground School, an
inclusive, diverse
school which
incorporates an Edible
Garden/Kitchen Science
program into its
curriculum on its
pastoral Bridgehampton
grounds.
Chef Jacques Pépin—
co-star of the
award-winning PBS series
“Julia and Jacques
Cooking at Home,” with
Julia Child, Chef Pépin
is considered one of the
world’s most brilliant
French chefs. His
television series
"Jacques Pépin Heart &
Soul" is his most
personal, revealing a
legend whose lust for
life, love of food,
family and friends
continues. A documentary
about his life, Jacques
Pépin: The Art of Craft,
narrated by Stanley
Tucci, aired as part of
the PBS series American
Masters in 2017.
Passionate about
teaching and learning,
Chef Pépin serves as
dean of Special Programs
at The International
Culinary Center, founded
as the French Culinary
Institute, in New York
City. He is an active
contributor to the
Gastronomy department at
Boston University, and
has received three of
the French government's
honors: He is a
Chevalier de L'Ordre des
Arts et des Lettres, a
Chevalier de L'Ordre du
Mérite Agricole, and in
2004 he received
France's Légion
d'honneur. He has also
received 24 James Beard
Foundation awards.
