CRUELTY TO CHILDREN ANNOUNCES 2019 FOOD & WINE
GALA HONORING HUMANITARIAN VICKY CORNELL &
FEATURING CELEBRITY CHEF ELIZABETH FALKNER
The New York Society for the Prevention of
Cruelty to Children (The
NYSPCC),
the world’s first child protection agency and
champion of New York’s most vulnerable, will
hold its annual Food & Wine Gala at the
exclusive Metropolitan Club in New York City on
November 20. Deborah
Norville of Inside
Edition will
host a forward-thinking dinner of exciting
cuisine curated by celebrity Chef
Elizabeth Falkner,
a world recognized, award winning chef who
continues to be a leader and pioneer in the
culinary arts.
The “Strength
of Our Society Award”
will be presented at the Gala to Vicky
Cornell,
wife of the late Soundgarden frontman Chris
Cornell, for her work with The Chris and Vicky
Cornell Foundation to raise funds and to support
charitable organizations serving children who
are facing homelessness, poverty, abuse, and
neglect worldwide.
Featuring a cocktail hour and wine tasting from Blue
Valley Vineyard and Winery, Peterson, Monika
Caha Selections, Michel Reolde and Tournesol,
with cuisine paired with world-class wines
provided by Millbrook
Vineyard and Winery, all
proceeds from the evening will support The
NYSPCC’s life-saving Trauma Recovery Program.
VIPs in attendance will include Vicky
Cornell, Valesca Guerrand-Hermes, Elizabeth
Mayhew, Chef Elizabeth Falkner, Deborah Norville,
Karl Wellner, and Dr.
