National Resort & Spa
Monies raised will benefit the Y’s local
youth programs
On
Friday, April 5, YMCA of the Palm Beaches will host its
5th Annual Golf Classic at PGA National Resort & Spa in
Palm Beach Gardens. More than 120 golfers and guests are
expected to attend the much-anticipated charity
golf event, which
will be played on The Champ, home to the PGA Tour’s
Honda Classic.
Golf
enthusiasts will have the opportunity to play where the
pros play during this rare opportunity. Sponsorship
opportunities are available. Early bird golf fees are
$300 per player, $600 per couple, and $1,200 per
foursome. Early bird prices will be offered for a
limited time and will increase after March 15.
“We are
very grateful to PGA National for allowing us this
exclusive opportunity to play The Champ,” said Peter
Thate, Development Director of the YMCA of the Palm
Beaches. “We encourage golfers of all skill levels to
join us for this event. It’s a great way to help the
kids and families at the Y.”
The event
will kick off with practice and a continental
breakfast at 7 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 8:30
a.m. Guests will enjoy lunch, a silent auction, and an
awards ceremony at 12:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event
will benefit the Y’s Summer Day Camp financial
assistance program.
