New York City: The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s 20th Annual Preview Party for The Haughton International Fine Art and Antique Dealers Show at the Park Avenue Armory was a rousing success. It raised over $800,000 to promote the well-being of patients, support cancer research and provide public education on the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer.
Sponsors, including Elle Décor and art dealer Michel Witmer helped make the night a stunning and financial success. The evening’s leadership team included event Co-chairs Grace Meigher, Alexandra Lind Rose and Alexia Hamm Ryan, Honorary Chairs Michel Witmer and Margaret Russell; Connoisseur Chairs Muffie Potter Aston, Joanne de Guardiola, Karen LeFrak and Jamie Niven and The Society’s President Leslie Jones.
Over 700 guests attended the spectacular night. The show, brilliantly organized by Anna and Brian Haughton and their children Emma Jane and Giles Haughton, displayed over 500 million dollars worth of the finest art and antiques from around the world. There were Objects of drop-dead beauty, great historical significance and riveting curiosity.
Buffet tables by Glorious Foods held freshly carved smoked salmon, fresh vegetables, seared tuna, cheeses and breads and condiments, while waiters in black tie passed the silver platters of hors d'oeuvres, champagne, martinis and mixed beverages.

Founded in 1946, The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is a volunteer organization dedicated to promoting the well-being of patients and their families while also supporting cancer research and providing public education on the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer.
