their annual fundraiser, "An Affair to
Remember". The event took place at
their estate which is located at the point
in Flanders, Long Island (the beginning of
the Peconic Bay).
The afternoon reception benefited The Tara

began in 2005 and has aided hundreds of
students. More than 700 people
attended, which included celebrities,
families and their children.
The Goodale's mansion is stately and there
were 2 baby grand pianos playing in
different rooms. The celebrity list

Grammy Award Winner, Freddy Jackson,
Albert Maysles, world famous documentarian,
who spoke of his films with the Beatles, the
Rolling Stones and of course "Grey Gardens",
as well as his daughter's new "Grey Gardens"
book. Artist Richard LaRovere unveiled
his new painting, "The Cottage", inspired by
the thatched-roof cottage in Grey Gardens.
Actress Cathy Moriarity, gossip columnist &
Page Sixer, Flo Anthony and Musical Director
of the Wiz and many other Broadway hits,
George Faison. Diamond Red, Dhonna Goodale's
RBS ( Riverhead Building Supply Singers)
performed. The group consisted of 30
singers (raging from ages 10 - 82) and
were accompanied on the piano by John
Stanley, who is Patti LaBelle's accompanist.
The affair was catered by Dark Horse
Caterers and was utterly sumptuous.
The weather was perfect thanks to "Hurricane
Bill" completely missing Long Island.
Needless to say the event was a huge success
and a good time
was had by all.
