NYC (December 15, 2009) – Jay McInerney, Anne
Hearst and Kimberly and Steven Rockefeller
were among those at the cocktail reception for
current and future DPS Sporting Club members at The
Monkey Bar on Tuesday, December 15th,
hosted by DPS Sporting Club Development Company
and Turks & Caicos Sporting Club at Ambergris
Cay. The cocktail reception featured a jazz
performance by Wycliffe Gordon and elegant
original cocktails and hors d’oeuvres by The Monkey
Bar.
Guests
including Gray Davis, Rory Stevens, Campion Platt,
Lisa Jackson, Dr. Kevin Plancher, Rona Landman, Leslie
Bond, Carla & Tony Hendra, Rob Coakley, Lauren and
Al Kenney, Andrew Fox, Mark Smith, Lauren and
Scott Kelly, Sarah Bradford and Harriette Rose
Katz mingled with managing directors Peter Pollak
and Steve Schram to share their love of the
exclusive Ambergris Cay island.
Ambergris Cay is a 1,100-acre island on the southern
side in the Turks & Caicos island chain; its unique,
pristine natural habitat is one of the last of its
kind. The unparalleled oasis is surprisingly just 575
miles from Florida and a mere 18 minutes via private jet
from Providenciales, making it a rare and limited piece
of retreat real estate. Amenities include a jet strip,
marina, members’ lodge, spa & fitness center and an
environmental learning center. Architectural continuity
and a respect for context are essential to the design of
the Turks & Caicos at Ambergris Cay, and thus the island
features the beautiful, continual and also eco-friendly
designs of some of the top architects in the country.
In a
world of over populated and overexposed vacation spots,
Ambergris Cay stands alone in offering the finest in
luxury amenities and aesthetics while maintaining
privacy as well as the breathtaking natural landscape
the island possesses. Tom Cruise and Katie
Holmes have already checked out the island, as has
Roger Waters, who has bragged about the island’s
excellent bone fishing. For more information regarding
