12th, 2009. Bethpage's Black Golf Course, Long Island,
NY. Steelers champion quarterback Ben Roethlisberger
added another win to his successes with a score of 81,
Michael Jordan finished with a 16-over-par 86 to take
second in the four-player tournament, singer Justin
Timberlake 88 and Larry Giebelhausen 101 . Phoenix
police lieutenant Giebelhausen won a Golf Digest contest
asking hopefuls to submit six-word essays explaining why
they "Can Break 100" at Bethpage. Giebelhausen's winning
six: "I'm a cop. I'll shoot low." Well-known golf pros
served as caddies. Fred Couples caddied for Jordan,
Rocco Mediate for Roethlisberger, and Anthony Kim
carried Timberlake's bags on the challenging Bethpage
Black course.
Justin Timberlake brought his "sexy back" to the golf
course sporting J Lindberg golf clothing from his line.
Timberlake also brought along his new investment; "901
Silver Tequila" which is launching in NYC and across the
United States. 901 is reportedly named after JT's
hometown of Memphis' area code. The New York launch is
scheduled to occur at Tenjune in Manhattan's trendy meat
packing district tomorrow night at 9:01pm.
The Golf Digest US Open Celebrity Challenge at Bethpage
Black will air on June 21 at noon and lead into the
final round of the US Open on NBC.
