NYC, NY –
Caron Renaissance Institute
celebrated its 20th anniversary
by hosting the “Save a Life” benefit
at downtown hot spot, Butter Restaurant
in on Wednesday, September 23rd,
2009 in New York City. The soiree raised
funds for addiction treatment scholarships
to the South Florida-based facility.
The evening was hosted by notables,
including Lorraine Bracco, Russell
Simmons, Joy Bryant, Francesca Campbell,
Jane Oster, Arden Wohl, and Stella Keitel.
The fete brought out the New York City's and
Palm Beach's elite, as they toasted the
success and importance of Caron
Renaissance's work over the
past 20 years. Jacqueline Sherry,
Denise Vasi, and Julianne Wainstein, who
also hosted the event, spoke candidly about
their involvement with the institution.. The
new scholarships established through the
evening's fundraising will help the Florida
institute accommodate less fortunate patrons
suffering from life threatening substance
abuse. Guests including Stella
Schnabel, Karen Duffy, Kingsley Woolworth,
Kate Nauta and Eli Mizrahi
enjoyed cocktails and delectable passed hors
d'oeuvres by Butter's Executive Chef
Alexandra Guarnaschelli, as well as a
silent auction including pieces from Tory
Burch, TW Steel, Rag & Bone,
a tour of the new Yankee Stadium from a
former Yankee and
many more.
Special thanks was given to Butter owners
Scott Sartiano and Richie Akiva,
board member and Gala Chair Petra Levin
along with friend Zac Posen, who
will serve as the foundation's Fashion
Sponsor for their Gala on February 26, 2010
in Palm Beach, FL. The evening raised
$100,000.00 over all, and served as the
perfect evening to celebrate the
organization's unwavering commitment to
putting its patients on the road to
recovery.
About Caron Renaissance
Caron Renaissance was originally Renaissance
Institute of the Palm Beaches and was
founded in 1990. The program is accredited
by the Commission on Accreditation of
Rehabilitation Facilities and is licensed by
the Florida Department of Children and
Family Services. In March, 2003,
internationally recognized
Caron
Treatment Centers acquired
Renaissance as a longer-term care adjunct to
their services. Caron Renaissance was an
early pioneer in longer-term residential
treatment, combining a very effective system
of clinical services in an office setting
with supervised residential care. Over the
years, Caron Renaissance has developed a
complementary array of related clinical
services as it has recognized the need to
treat multiple addictions simultaneously.
Attachment
Disorder therapy has resulted in
a very strategic coordination of patient,
family, and vocational services. Long
recognized for clinical excellence and
recovery effectiveness, Caron Renaissance
has continued improving its current services
and developing new ones. The relationship
with the medical profession has also been
solidified with the addiction medicine
component. For more information, please
