Kona Grill at City Place in West Palm Beach hosted a
private reception in honor of Bob Lappin and The
Palm Beach Pops and their 18th concert
season in South Florida. The invitation-only
reception was held on Wednesday, October 21, 2009
from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with nearly 100 guests
in attendance. Brief remarks were made by Maestro
Bob Lappin which included the introduction of the
Palm Beach Pops’ new executive director, David
Quilleon.
Guests included Maestro Bob Lappin and Gloria
Briggs, Michael Dixon and Lynn Paradis, Adele Siegel
and Sumner Hushing, Nancy DeMatteis, Suzy Minkoff,
Gail Band and Donald Ephraim, Harold Jacobson,
Dolores and Richard Nelson, Lexye Aversa, Liza and
Ira Sarinsky, and Ana Kenefick.

Founded in 1991 by Music Director and Conductor, Bob
Lappin, The Palm Beach Pops quickly distinguished
itself as a world-class pops orchestra with a debut
concert in 1992. In collaboration with the best
musicians and guest artists on the international
music scene, The Palm Beach Pops performs over 36
concerts a year in South Florida at the Kravis
Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach,
the Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium
at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Eissey
Campus Theatre at Palm Beach Community College in
Palm Beach Gardens as well as other national venues.
The Palm Beach Pops’ comprehensive education and
