ABOUT THE
GREEN
CHILDREN
Fact; The
Green
Children's journey began at
The Liverpool Institute for
Performing Arts an English
university established by
Sir Paul McCartney that
offers training in acting,
dancing, theatre and music.
Sharing similar musical
influences including Michael
Jackson, Madonna, Björk,
David Bowie, Enya, Imogen
Heap and Royksopp to name a
few, the desire to start up
a group was mutual. With
Marlow's infectious
instrumentation and Milla's
melodious tones, the
chemistry was undeniable.
So undeniable, that the "fantasmic"
sound caught the ear of
Universal Music Group in the US,
over five thousand miles
away. In 2008, The
Green
Children signed to Universal
Motown but quickly became
very unhappy with their
experience at the label. In
their words, "For a city of
angels, they're hard to
find, our faith in the
business quickly declined,
who would have thought our
happiest day, would come
when we'd thrown our deal
away." The
Green
Children chose to leave the
label in April 2009.
