The event was a smashing success, selling out tickets in advance. The jubilant crowd took in the moving images, and quieted down to hear heartfelt remarks from Brian Marcus and Melissa Kushner, underscoring the pressing needs of the children being served by the organization. In attendance were luminaries such as Steven Matejne (Malawian Ambassador to the UN), Alex Charriol, Kipton Cronkite, Soraya Dorabi, Kate Dillon (People’s 50 Most Beautiful), gallerist Talia Eisenberg, Keren Eldad, Melissa Foss, Marc Kushner (Founder of Architizer), Melissa Kushner (Founder of Goods for Good), illustrator Alessandra Olanow, Amanda Sheppard, Emma Snowdon-Jones, Lucia Tait, Raj Tolaram and Annabel Vartanian.

In March of this year, Brian traveled to Malawi, East Africa to document the work of Goods for Good, a (501)(c) nonprofit organization matching surplus goods from the United States with the needs of orphans and vulnerable children in the developing world. It was the images from this trip that Brian presented at the event.
