On the
evening
of June
22,
2010,
the
annual
Freedom
Flame
Award
Dinner
was held
at the
Metropolitan
Club. The
event
was
hosted
by
Kate
Edmonds
Donner,
New York
Director
for the
Center
for
Security
Policy,
and
planned
by her
company
Kate
Edmonds
Events.
The
night
started
with an
elegant cocktail
hour
with
hors
d'oeuvres.
At 7:30
the
dinner
bell
rang and
curtains
opened
inviting
guests
into the
dining
area
that was
adorned
with
lush red
and
pomegranate
center
pieces
on a
raspberry
table
cloth.
The room
glowed
and was
soothed
by
Alex
Donner's
music.
Frank
Gaffney,
president
and CEO
of The
Center
for
Security
Policy,
welcomed
all of
the
attendees
followed
by Alex
Donner
singing The
National
Anthem.
The
ambiance
was
purely
patriotic
from the
award
ceremony to
the
inspirational
speech
by Liz
Cheney
and the
finishing
touch; a
red,
white
and blue
desert
the best
fruit
tart in
the city.
The night
was in
honor of
Joe
Donner
and the
Manhattan
