It is always an exhilarating and elegantevening at this
event and this year’s gala was no exception. It was “A
Tropical Paradise” created by Tony Urrutia and catered by
Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs and with the wonderful Alexander
Donner Orchestra. The guests included Chuck and Ellen
Scarborough, Jean Shafiroff (Gala Chair), Melanie Wambold
(Vice Chair), Howard Lorber, Mark and Marianne Epley, Robert
Moss, Jonathan and Somers Farkas, Margo Nederlander, Rebecca
Cooper, Debbie Bancraft, Dr. Martin and Barbara Stone and Frances Hayward
who for over a decade resided at the world famous Hamptons
“grey Gardens” Estate which was brought back to glory by Ben
Bradlee and Sally Quinn.
The auction offered a
sumptuous array of art, spa and beauty services, fashion and
accessories with names as Donna Koran, Oscar De La Renta,
Valentino, Tiffany & Co., London Jewelers, David Yurman, and
Baccarat to name a few.
The guests, the setting,
the cuisine and the music made this another souvenir affair
to be long remembered.

are difficult and rare.” - Spinoza (1677)
