December 3rd was the first of the Annual Christmas Luncheons at
Doubles. Once through the revolving doors of The Sherry
Netherland Hotel, you will find a small brass plaque on a
cleverly concealed door. The plaque has a double D on it. The
door leads to a steep red fabric-lined stairway to a very unique
inner sanctum. Doubles is the glamorous, private club which
opened its door s in 1976, a plush, polished brass and velvety
mecca, luxurious and without peer.

Club Christmas luncheons are one of New York's great established
traditions - the warmest and most festive way to celebrate and
share the season for the club members and their with friends.
Strolling carolers add to the holiday background and the dessert
buffet is always sumptuous and over the top. Every inch of the
club is decorated from floor to ceiling in joyous Christmas
