37th ANNUAL GALA
Nearly 500 guests raised over $1 million
at the Inner-City Scholarship Fund FRIENDS Committee 37th
Annual Gala on Tuesday, May 14 at Cipriani 42nd
Street in Manhattan. Inner-City Scholarship Fund (ICSF) is
the city’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to
providing tuition assistance for low-income students
attending ICSF-supported inner-city Catholic schools within
the Archdiocese of New York.
His Eminence, Timothy Michael Cardinal Dolan,
Archbishop of New York and His Eminence,
Edward Cardinal Egan, attended the event where
Fox 5 News Anchor Dari Alexander served as the Master
of Ceremonies.
“During the spring season, when we are so close to
graduation and everyone is reflecting on the past year, we
are constantly reminded of how important access to a good
education is,” said Susan George, Executive Director
of ICSF. “It is great to bring together so many champions
of Inner-City Scholarship Fund who provide so much to our
students.”
The evening’s program featured a performance by the St.
Brigid
Elementary School choir who performed songs from
Joseph
and
the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
