The National Women’s Division of
the Albert Einstein College of Medicine hosted
their annual Spirit of Achievement Luncheon on
April 30, at New York’s Plaza Hotel. The
event benefits lifesaving medical research. This
year marks the 59th anniversary of this
prestigious Women’s Division flagship event,
created to honor outstanding individuals leading
their field in the arts, media, business, and
government.
This year’s honorees included noted
designer, businesswoman, and author, Liz Lange,
who launched her iconic maternity line in 1997 to become
the go-to brand for expectant mothers, and
Anne Wojcicki, founder of 23andMe, a groundbreaking
personal genomics, ancestry, and biotechnology company.
Approximately 400 of New York’s most
prominent women attended the prestigious Spirit
of Achievement Luncheon.
Each year, this successful fundraiser
generates approximately $400,000 to support
ground-breaking research at the Albert Einstein College
of Medicine, one of the nation’s most prestigious
medical schools.
All proceeds are
donated to advancing cutting-edge
studies in breast, ovarian, uterine, and cervical
cancers at Einstein’s state-of-the-art research
facilities.
Guests were also treated to an exclusive
fashion show courtesy of 25 PARK, the go-to boutique for
discovering amazing new designers side by side with well
known favorites. Emmy-Award winning television
