played in educating and changing the attitude of the
community and how the goal is to strengthen, support and
expand their initiatives so that the Amorgos project may
become implemented throughout the Cyclades Islands.
Founded in 2007, Animal Zone International is a non-profit
organization dedicated to the protection of the animals and
the environment. It has begun work on the Greek island of
Amorgos, working with the community to develop a model for
Greek animal welfare. AZI has established the island’s first
veterinary clinic providing free or low-cost medical care
and spay/neuter surgeries, and is focused on educating the
island’s population on the humane treatment of animals. |
