Kids Foundation’s recent inaugural
“Serving up Smiles” fundraiser to benefit its mission of
supporting seriously ill children and their families raised
nearly $220,000 during an evening that featured tastings of
signature plates from the hottest chefs and restaurants in New
York City.
These illustrious chefs included Chef Michael
Jenkins from Butter; Baker
Maury Rubin of The City Bakery; Chef
David Bouley of Bouley; Pastry
Chef Anne-Marie Noonan of Bryant Park Grill; Baker
Roger Gural of Arcade Bakery; Chef
Ricky Estrellado of Nobu; Chef
Luisa Fernandes of Robert Restaurant; Chef
King Phojanakong of Kuma Inn; Chef
Barret Beyer, Hell’s
Kitchen Season 11 contestant; Chef
Chris Nirschel of North River Lobster Company; Chef
Jason Roberts; Chef
Dave Martin; Chef
Isao Yamada of Brushstroke; Chef
Bill Dorrler of Osteria Morini; and
Chocolatier Joan Coukos Todd of Chocolat Moderne. Wine and
cocktails were provided by Disaronno, Four Roses Distillery, I
Trulli, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Mulino a Vino, and Mattebella
Vineyards. Chef Roble Ali, a contributor on The Chew, served as
the emcee.
