“Own The Night”
Luxury Living New York Hosts Philanthropic Evening
In Support of Panthera
October
14th, 2015, New York, NY –Founder
and CEO of Luxury Living Group, Alberto
Vignatelli, newly appointed Creative Director and Vice
President of Luxury Living, Ally
Coulter and
Panthera Founder and Chairman, Dr.
Thomas Kaplan hosted
a philanthropic evening at Luxury Living’s New York City
flagship showroom to broaden awareness and raise proceeds to
benefit Panthera, the global wild cat conversation
organization.
The showroom was filled with Luxury
Living patrons, industry professionals and members of the press
who were enthusiastic in supporting the organization. Notable
guests of the evening included Dujour’s Jason
Binn, Artist Peter
Tunney, CEO
of United
Against Nuclear Iran (UANI)
and the Counter
Extremism Project Mark
Wallace, Interior Designers Campion
Platt, Kathleen Walsh and Katie
Scott, co-owner of Dedar Milano, Caterina
Fabrizio, French designer, Paul
Mathieu, Trump Group’s Michael
Goldstein and Peter Marino’s Marco
Marcellini.
All three hosts remarked about the
importance of their partnership, highlighting that this is the
first time that a luxury brand has collaborated with Panthera to
spread awareness. Renowned artist Peter Tunney generously
donated three original artworks to the silent auction for the
evening. Luxury Living Group announced they are donating 5-10%
of all proceeds generated from New York sales of Fendi Casa,
Bentley Home, Trussardi Casa and Heritage Collection from
October 14th - November 14th to Panthera.
The evening also marked
the launch of Panthera’s Own
The Night, a campaign the organization believes will shine a
light on the pervasive threats of poaching and illegal hunting
that are decimating wildcat populations around the globe.
Acknowledging the enormity of the challenge and the importance
of Luxury Living’s contributions, Dr. Kaplan said, “We’re
inspired that Luxury Living has made an extraordinary commitment
to raising awareness about the dire threats facing wild cats
from poaching. Operating in the shadows, the insidious poaching
industry threatens the future not just of wild cats and the
critical habitats that support this biodiversity...but also the
local communities who live with the natural world. To meet that
threat, Panthera is taking the battle to the poachers through
the training of law enforcement patrols, dismantling traps and
removing snares set for wildlife, among other cutting-edge
methods.”
He continued,
“This cause takes awareness, and it takes capital. Thanks to the
exceptional generosity of Luxury Living, and the passion of
Alberto and Ally in particular, Panthera is one step closer to
owning the night. |
