Harmony Liu
takes the first prize in
the Empire Dance Championship
On August 4th, the Marriott Hotel in Broadway Times Square
in New York, the 2019 Empire Latin Dance International
Competition officially kicked off. This is one of the three
most important international dance competitions in the
United States.
Harmony LiuThe first time to participate in this big
competition who is from Queens, New York. In order to
participate in the competition, Harmony Liu (刘昕格), a 13
years old middle school student, gave up the opportunity to
go abroad for a summer vacation. Before the game, she went
to the mentor for hard training, and she worked hard.
Finally, in today’s game, Harmony Liu independently boldly
walked into the dance floor, and after a good dance of
Samba, Rumba, and Cha Cha of three kinds of dances, She won
the acclaim of the referee and the audience, and won the
first prize of the Youth Group. After she left the dance
floor, the reporter asked her: Other children all have a
group partner together, If She so nervous when she faces so
many referees and audiences on the dance floor? She said
that she did have a quick heartbeat before she came to
dancing floor. Later, when she came to floor, she stabilized
her emotions. The trainer also said that her actions played
very well. Harmony said that although she sacrificed the
summer vacation, but she participated in this large-scale
international dance. The competition not only has the
improvement of form, etiquette and temperament, but more
importantly, it is the exercise of psychological
self-control ability and emotional intelligence. Maggie &
Joy, two classmate who participated in the dance competition
together, also won the first prize in different groups.
The VIP guests gathered at the event, star-studded, and
attended by hundreds of Latin dancers, scholars, referees,
media reporters, business association leaders, and people
from all walks of life from five continents. Harmony Liu is
determined to continue. Train hard and strive to enter the
"British Blackpool International Bidding Contest" at the
highest level of Latin dance in the world as soon as
possible. Although the summer vacation she has less relex,
but she won more emotional intelligence training, Harmony
Liu is very grateful to cultivate her hardest mother and
father ‘s contribution to her.
