Champions of Hope Kickoff Event at Park
House:
A Night of Inspiration and Action for
Education
An incredible evening unfolded at the
Park House on February 20th, as
supporters and friends of The Holdsworth
Center gathered
for the Champions of Hope Kickoff,
hosted by Ronel Golden
and Rob Kaplan.
The event was highlighted by a powerful
address from Dr. Anthony Mays,
Superintendent of Alief ISD, who
emphasized the critical need for
visionary leaders in every school and
district. He delivered a stirring
message about the importance of
investing in educational leadership,
asserting that such investments benefit
not only educators and students, but
also the entire community.
Dr. Mays’ words resonated deeply with
all in attendance, underscoring the
importance of empowering educational
leaders who can inspire students to
excel, creating thriving communities
in the process.
Following Dr. Mays, Dr. Ruth Simmons
took the stage with a passionate call to
action. She urged everyone to move
beyond personal support and become true
advocates, ambassadors, and champions
for the cause of educational leadership.
Her words ignited a sense of urgency and
commitment among the audience, leaving
everyone with a renewed sense of
purpose.
The Holdsworth Center's Champions of
Hope Gala will take place on May 7th at
the River Oaks Country Club. The event
promises to be an unforgettable evening
of celebration, inspiration, and action.
With your support, The Holdsworth Center
will be able to expand its world-class
