–The
American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children
has announced internationally known parental expert and
family advocate
Jo Frost
as the official celebrity spokesperson for the newly
launched nonprofit.
"I'm honored and excited to be working with the American
SPCC," Frost said, "From personal experience, I know that to
affect change, recognition and dialogue must first take
place, and this is the goal of the American SPCC. Breaking
the taboo associated with talking about child abuse is the
first step toward healing for victims and potential
abusers.”

Frost has authored five books on childcare. Her newest
title, Jo Frost's Confident Toddler Care, went
to number one the summer of 2011 in the U.K. She is
currently a regular contributor on the Rachel Ray show and
has another TV show, Extreme Parental Guidance, in
its second season in the U.K.
