Expert Presenters, Noted Brands, Creatives and Influentials Converged to Glimpse the Future
 

 
 
 

 

September 13- styleX 2016, the third in well-known style and tech TV correspondent Katlean de Monchy’s experiential series, provides audiences a means to discover and explore game-changing technologies that will be impacting consumer lifestyles through fashion, beauty and fitness. Katlean summarized the event in these terms, “Bringing disparate worlds in dialogue and igniting synergies between digital natives and the fashion scene is both fulfilling and inspiring.”  This year’s event, held September 8 added fuel to fashion by igniting a new conversation looking at fashion from the view point of digital files and digital content.  This unique experience stood out in New York Fashion Week 2016. https://stylexgallery.splashthat.com/

 

Several hundred affluentials and celebfluentials attended--including representatives from the Fashion Institute of Technology; designers Malan Breton and Maggie Norris; creatives such as stylist Montgomery Frazier as well as designers from Ralph Lauren and Coach brands.  New York notables and celebrities included American composer and instrumentalist Lucia Hwong Gordon; Flo Anthony, Lieba Nesis, Downtown Julie Brown, Iris Schwartz, and Countess Jocelyn Engle. Julianne Michelle a film and TV Actress attended along with Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin, singer, designer and philanthropist; and TV actress April Malloy.

 

styleX 2016 included a marketplace of noted brands, a thought leadership panel providing insights from 3D-printing design and fashion pioneers, a beauty keynote on skin-tightening technology, and a cocktail hour benefiting the American Heart Association. A sampling of rave reviews includes:

Media expert Katlean de Monchy’s vision of styleX is born from her unique vantage point having covered fashion and technology for Reuters.  In addition to noted brands exhibiting tech, fashion and beauty offerings, informational presentations featured innovational leaders whose work illustrates the convergence of fashion, technology, beauty and culture.         

 

Thought Leader Panel: “Designing for the Augmented Age”

A tantalizing glimpse into the future of fashion as only avant-garde designers and other fashion and tech disruptors could deliver.  Presenters described why 3D technologies and computational tools are only the start of a massive rethink in the processes involving design, materials, and production of tomorrow’s fashion-centric products.

Celebrity plastic surgeon, Dr. Stephen T. Greenberg presented on today’s game-changing technologies that have deep impact it has on our confidence, health and well-being.

A glamorous reception to benefit the American Heart Association concluded the event with refreshments from Cocktail Caviar and Altaneve Prosecco. This gracious and social ceremony gave attendees a chance to mingle with and meet speakers, fashion and media luminaries and marketplace exhibitors.
