Charity Navigator, America's premier and
most-utilized independent evaluator of
charities, has awarded Opportunity, Inc.
their prestigious 4-star rating. The
rating indicates that Opportunity Inc.
adheres to good governance, and other
best practices that minimize the chance
of unethical activities, and
consistently executes its Mission in a
fiscally responsible way.

Charity Navigator applies data-driven
analysis to help charitable givers make
intelligent “Giving Decisions.” The
organization provides information on ten
times more charities than any other
evaluator. It calculates each charity’s
score based upon several broad criteria,
including how much an organization
spends per dollar raised, what
percentage of the funds go to programs
vs. administrative and fund-raising
expenses, and the organization’s
long-term financial health. It then
assigns the rating, with four being the
most prestigious.
