the Hopkins School
in New Haven, Connecticut,
and was a
graduate of Hopkins Academy in New Haven, and Bates College
in Lewiston, Maine.
Ben was a
smart, funny, fun loving, kind-hearted guy. He didn't
struggle against life, but took it as it came, with his
wonderful easy going nature.
He was a great athlete and was well known for his
achievements in baseball, football, and basketball.
At Hopkins he was an ALL New England runner, and was captain
of the track and cross country teams.
He was much loved and respected, and will be greatly missed
by us all.

is survived by his parents, Benton Randall Lyster III and
Dianne McKinnon Lyster of Guilford, Connecticut; his sister,
Amy Katherine Lyster of Massachusetts; his grandmother, Amy
Carter Lyster of Fairfield, Connecticut; his aunt and uncle,
Cassandra Seidenfeld Lyster and Robert Carter Lyster of New
York; and by his cousin, Philip Carter Lyster of
New York.
