Southampton, NY August 22, 2009. A fundraiser for
Operation Smile was held at The Day and Night Beach Club in Southampton. The cocktail party was hosted by Danielle Winick, accompanied by her father Jeff Winick of Winick Realty. Katherine Kremer was there with her parents Suzan and Jerry Kremer.
It was nice to see teens joined in force with their parents for a
good cause.
The Operation Smiles slogan reads,
"Changing Lives, One Smile at a Time." Operation Smile raises funds to treat children's facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate
around the world.

According to Operation Smiles web site, as the Southampton event was conducted lives were being changed across the world:
Gujarat, India: August 20 - 28, 2009
"An Operation Smile team of medical volunteers will work in Gujarat to change the lives of Indian children. The medical and non-medical volunteer team members, including plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, a pediatrician, an orthodontist, a speech therapist and others, will work alongside their Indian counterparts.
The team will provide free physical examinations and reconstructive surgeries for children and young adults with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities.
Since Operation Smile's first mission to India in 2002, volunteers have provided free physical examinations for more than 4,880 patients and life-changing surgery for more than 2,306 children and young adults during international medical missions in India."
It was a beautiful cocktail event. Marshall Modell conducted the live auction. Dr. Larry Rosenthal and his associate donated a $30,000 complete dental makeover which Bobby Campbell won for $10,00, Britney Spears Circus Concert tickets paired with dinner for two at Nello's brought in almost $3,000. There were many more items in the auction, all with very generous bidders despite the difficult economic times that we are experiencing.
Everyone involved in making the evening a success should have a big smile. You have changed lives with your kindness.
