Athletic
League (PAL)
honored
Peter G.
Peterson,
Co-founder
of The
Blackstone
Group and
Founder &
Chairman of
the Peter G.
Peterson
Foundation,
at PAL’s 38th
Annual
Superstar
Dinner at
The Pierre, East 61st Street
at Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. Mr. Peterson,
who received
the
Superstar
Award,
served as
Secretary of
Commerce
under
President
Nixon,
Chairman &
CEO of Bell and Howell, Chairman & CEO of Lehman
Brothers,
and Chairman
of the
Committee on
Foreign
Relations.
Concerned
with the
fiscal
health of
our nation,
individual
opportunities
for the
greater good
and
entitlement
to the
American
Dream, Mr.
Peterson has
committed
much of his
net worth
and founded
the Peter G.
Peterson
Foundation.
A visionary
businessman,
investment
banker,
fiscal
conservative,
author,
public
servant and
philanthropist,
Mr. Peterson
shares the
PAL
philosophy
that every
child
deserves the
chance to be
the best
they can be
and supports
PAL’s
efforts to
give every
kid in this
city the
resources
and guidance
to realize
their own
dream.

56,000 boys
and girls
annually.
It is also
the city’s
largest,
independent,
nonprofit
youth
organization.
