LOS ANGELES, CA—The Guild of Big Brothers Big
Sisters of Greater Los Angeles presented its annual
Accessories for Success Spring Luncheon and Fashion Show
featuring Lloyd Klein luxurious couture and ready-to-wear
clothing, today, Friday, March 25, 2011 at The Beverly Hills
Hotel. Honorees included Nina Shaw, Partner at Del, Shaw,
Moonves, Tanaka, Finkelstein & Lezcano, Excellence in
Mentoring Award; NancyJane Goldston, Founder and
Editor-in-Chief, The Blonde & The Brunette and
Founder and CEO, The UXB, the Innovator Award; and
BBBSLA Board Chair Nancy Taylor, the Sterling Award.
Actress and author Elizabeth Berkley emceed. Guild members
Anja Kloch, Anne Lepesant, Teri Simpson and Mary Willard
were Luncheon Co-Chairs.
Joining couturier Lloyd Klein in the fashion
presentation, produced by “The U-ee Organization…Showing Who
In the World is Changing It,” were Dana Davis Shoes, Michael
Hasse Hair Design, Charles Bracca for Sisely Cosmetics,
Glynneth B. Jewelry and Ford models.
Prior to the luncheon, an Accessories
Boutique featured a fashionable array of select vendors
donating a portion of proceeds from their sales to BBBSLA.
Featured were Classy Bag Lady, Jacqueline B, Keikico,
Moonlite, Treasured Accessory, Over The Top, Shelley’s
Closet, Bed Head, Colette Dutray, Seventh Street Designs,
Suzanne Felsen, Park Vogel and Gourmet Blends, Accessor Eyes
and M. Kantor fine jewelry.

Attorney Nina Shaw received the Excellence
in Mentoring Award, presented to her by actress Tamala
Jones. A founding partner in Los Angeles’ Del, Shaw,
Moonves, Tanaka, Lezcano & Finklestein, Shaw has spent more
than 20 years structuring lucrative contracts for a long
list of celebrities, among them Oscar winner Jamie Foxx,
James Earl Jones, Lawrence Fishburne and Cedric the
Entertainer. In 2005, Shaw received the Women in Film
Crystal Award and has been named repeatedly in The Hollywood
Reporter’s “Women in Entertainment Power 100” and in
2010 was featured in that magazine’s “Top 100 Power
Lawyers.” She is a board member of The Independent School
Alliance for Minority Affairs, a past board member of
Planned Parenthood, and a Big Sister in The Hollywood
Reporter/Big Brothers Big Sisters Women in Entertainment
Mentoring Program.
NancyJane Goldston was the recipient of the
Innovator Award. Her husband Mark and twin sons Ryan and
Adam presented. As the Founder of
TheBlondeandTheBrunette.com, a style and beauty website,
Goldston is Editor-in-Chief and Chief Branding Officer.
TheBlondeandTheBrunette.com is a member of the

Founder and CEO of the award-winning advertising, branding
and interactive agency, The UXB. She is a member of the
International Academy of Visual Arts, the International
Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences and The Metropolitan
Museum’s Friends of the Costume Institute. Goldston is a
Board Member of Aviva Family and Children’s Services, a
member of the Blue Ribbon and is active in numerous Los
Angeles philanthropic efforts.
The Sterling Award was presented to
BBBSLA Board Chair Nancy Taylor by Guild President Sandy
Bilson. Taylor is the former Region Group Vice President for
Jack in the Box, leading three West Coast regions with more
than 375 restaurants. While successful in business, she has
consistently given back to the community. Whether working
with community land management groups, assisting in feeding
the homeless, volunteering on task forces for the Humane
Society or working with Big Brothers Big Sisters, she
understands the necessity to enhance the community. Taylor
has been an active Board of Director for BBBSLA for 10 years
and has served as Board Chair since 2009.
A highlight of the afternoon was the
introduction of “little sister Sonia,” by Entertainment
Tonight’s style expert, Anya Sarre. Linda Bell Blue, ET’s
Executive Producer, has been “Big Sister” to Sonia and Sarre
has taken on the roll of Deputy “Big Sister” for the
teenager who spoke movingly about how BBBS had positively
impacted her life.
The Guild was founded in 1986 and is
dedicated to promoting awareness and raising financial
support for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los
Angeles. A volunteer group comprised of prominent women
from the community, The Guild has raised over $8 million to
support the one-to-one mentoring programs of Big Brothers
Big Sisters. In addition to the Accessories for Success
Spring Luncheon, The Guild hosts its primary fundraising
event, The Big Bash, Rising Stars Gala, which will be held
this year on October 28th.
