Once
again our National Football League’s
Draft Selection came to New York City.
This is an exciting event – the
professional football teams gathers to
select young players for their 2013-14
roster. Athletes from throughout the
country attend this event in
anticipation of being selected to be
part of the National Football. Teams
that make good selections can gain
talented player who may lead the team to
future championships. Poor selections
can result in a weak team and a losing
season, with low attendance figures.
There’s a lot at stake in the NFL
Draft. New York City was alive and
bustling with fans and friends of the
football world in the days leading up to
the draft. Radio City Musical Hall was
the site of the event and put out a
super show
At this time each year,
Nikkia T. McClain of Tene
Nicole of Marketing and Public
Relations, along with her
partners, hold an amazing event called
the NFL Draft Week - Art of Luxury
Series. This year the event was held at
Clyde Frazier’s Wine and Dine, and it
was a well attended.
At this
gala, professional athletes, movie
celebrities, fashion leaders, and
members of the press meet with the
different sporting event sponsors and
receive samples of their products.
Photos are taken, television and radio
interviews take place, and everyone
shares the latest developments in the
sports industries. For sports fans this
event is a true “field of dreams.”
Unfortunately,
I was late getting to the event due to
several prior commitments - so I missed
the opportunity to have my picture taken
with many of the professional athletes
and celebrities. But I did have a
picture taken with Brett Lockett of the
New York Jets and
other celebrity guests.
I had a very good conversation with the
international model Carissa Rosario. She
looked stunning wearing a beautiful
cocktail dress. A very lovely lady!
And I was able to spend time talking to
professional football player
Antrel
W. Rolle of the New York Giants. He is
a very nice man and very, very
personable. Antrel spent a considerable
amount of time accommodating the crowd -
talking and having pictures taken with
the guests. He is just a wonderful men.
When I was living on the West Coast I
became a die-hard San Francisco Forty-Niners
fan. I found them to be a very nice
group of people, including the owners,
managers and coaches. Often, I had
attended their events and was lucky to
be able to go to
their corporate headquarters.
I still like Joe Montana and Steve
Young, and I got the chance to meet
Miami’s Dan Marino. But living in New
York, you cannot help but like the teams
that belong to the Big Apple. This is a
fantastic sports town with a great
winning tradition.
It is no
surprise its The Place to be during the
annual NFL draft. I
congratulate Nikkia T. McClain of Tene
Nicole Marketing &Public Relations and
her partners, and sponsors to name a few
is Donna Scott of Donna Scott Skin
Care & Spa, Greta Russo of Pet
Support Phashion
Charity Affair, TZ Watches, NYR NY Rumble,
The LIQNY and many others. And a salute
also to Porsha Starr and her associates
for doing a good job at the reception
table.
This is your host
Gloria T. Cressler signing off,
We will see you on the next event.
