The Wooster Group celebrated their spring
benefit dinner on Tuesday, April 29th at
632 on Hudson (632 Hudson Street), New York City. The
benefit’s hosts were Steve
Buscemi, Buck Henry, Frances McDormand, Mike Nichols, Lorne
Michaels, and Maura
Tierney. Karen
Lashinsky’s magical
event space hosted cocktails and entertainment which began
at 6:00 pm. Maura Tierney had benefit guests laughing as she
pretended to interview Buck Henry using an old TV interview
then she edited some of his most memorable TV and film clips
into the parody.
The 100 dinner guests were surrounded by
white flowers and greenery – which gave the evening a truly
spring feel. Guests enjoyed dinner by Chef
Odette Fada; the menu included: Soft egg yolk-filled
ravioli in truffle butter and wild sea bass with spring
vegetables in red wine sauce.
During dinner benefit hosts Steve Buscemi &
Mike Nichols both gave impromptu speeches.
Other notable guests planning to attend
include: Catherine
Orentreich, Eric Fischl and April Gornik, Siri Hustvedt,
Sean and Mary Kelly, Mark Morris, Diane Sawyer, Shelley
