On Wednesday,
September 11, 2013, French
ready-to-wear brand Paule Ka presented its Spring/Summer
14’ collection at their Madison Avenue showroom to
benefit New York City Mission Society. The collection
showcased to a private audience hosted by New York City
philanthropist Jean Shafiroff, Susan Kelly of Paule Ka,
Karen Klopp of What 2 Wear Where and Christine Schott.
The evening launched a fall fundraising effort to
support New York City Mission Society’s programs, which
help break the cycle of poverty for New York City’s
children,
youth and families.
“New York City Mission
Society is delighted that Paule Ka has generously agreed
to donate this special evening to us” said New York City
Mission Society’s Interim Executive Director, Maria
Orengo.
Wednesday night’s event
was chaired by a dedicated and fashionable committee
including Jean Shafiroff, Susan Kelly, Karen Klopp,
Christine Schott, Tova Borgnine, Ann Caruso, Consuelo
Vanderbilt Castlin, Hilary Dick, The Hon. Brenda
Johnson, Martha O’Brien Lamphere, Abigail Ledes, Lavinia
Lowerre, Nicole Hanley Mellon, Nicole Noonan, Sally
Roosevelt, Allegra Rumbough, Kiera Rumbough, Siena
Rumbough, Felicia Taylor, and Lori Kanter Tritsch.
Those in attendance included, Somers Farkas, Dina
Merrill Hartley’s son and NYCM board member Stanley H.
Rumbough and his children Cole, Siena and Keira, Gil
Lamphere, George Ledes, and Katherine Todd.
