We're Cookin' Up Summer Fun in
the Big Apple
Here
is the recipe for a great summer
party: gather together lots of
successful, urban professional,
sprinkle in some big name
personalities, add great music
and song, stir in some high
powered movie moguls, and add a
drizzle of designers and
models.
And, the recipe was delicious -
we had so much fun at our June
event.
This special summer blast was
held at the Trump Tower
International World Bar, near
the United Nations. Elite
Professional Networking Group (EPN)
along with Black Tie
International Magazine, Giorgio
G Cognac (a product of world
famous fashion designer Giorgio
Gucci), Emperors Vodka and
AR-1 Supercar hosted the event.
We didn’t have an A-list of
personalities this time. No,
had an A++ list of high powered
professionals. We were joined
by our good friends Marc
Segelnick, a partner at Central
Securities of America, Jim
Swiger, the Managing Director
for Enviroglobal Solutions,
David Alan Kogut of Principal
Northern Venture Group, Lawrence
Blascovich, Group
Director-Senior Vice President
of Signature Bank, Steven
Engelson, Regional Sales
Director of Wings Jets (a
private jet company) and the
always charming Kenneth Flornes,
Director of Marketing at The
Suites Silver Towers. (Yes,
that is the building owned by
the famous billionaire Larry
Silverstien.) It was nice to see
Kenneth back again. His
schedule pulls him in many
directions -we’re glad it
brought
him to our event.
And of course, our regular
guests were at our June event
‘cooking up some fun’-
actor/director Bill Landis of T2
Production, celebrity architect
Stephen Valentines of Stephen
Valentine Architect, actor and
producer Graig Weich. Wilfried
Ramm from Germany of Depfa Bank
was in the party mix. Also on
hand were Kalin Kassabov
(Bulgaria) founder and chief
executive of Protexting. Joining
the crowd was Miquel Jeronimo, a
diplomat from Portugal, and
owner of Alfama and his partner
Tarcisio Costa, a Portuguese
restaurant on midtown’s east
side.
Try Alfama for a taste of authentic Old World food!
Our guests from the diplomatic
community were Outi Sundstrom
and Anna Majakulma from the
office of the Ambassador of
Finland, and Lasse Teeriaho from
the office of the Consul General
of Finland.
Our military veteran honoree for
the event was US ARMY E-4 Viktoriya
Mikhelson, who served in Iraq
and Afghanistan from 2010 to
2011 in Operation Iraqi
Freedom/New Dawn. Everyone was
surprised how young Viktoriya
looked. Dressed in a stunning
cocktail dress, Viktoriya didn’t
look like a seasoned military
professional, but looked like a
young co-ed out on the town!
Let’ always keep in mind that
thousands and thousands of our
service men and women make
tremendous sacrifices to protect
our freedom. We are fortunate to
have so many highly skilled and
unselfish individuals willing to
stand in harms way so we can
enjoy the richness of life in
our country. As in the past, we
invite veterans to our
celebrations in order to say
“thank you.” A special thanks
goes out to Tony Ntnelas of the
Wounded Warrior Projects for
helping to coordinating this
portion of the evening.
Our singer entertainment for the
evening was Esnavi, and in the
guitar was Michel Kunz. Esnavi
is a singer/songwriter with a
voice of undeniable soul and
spirit. As a creative artist,
Esnavi’s goal is to enliven and
enlighten the world through her
special blend of music and
lyrics. The release of her debut
album titled Exit E, has
begun the process of bringing
her unique message to the world.
Her first hit single, Unexpected
Love, reached the top 40 on the
Urban Adult Contemporary Chart
and remained there for over ten
weeks. The video for the single
is on rotation on VH1 Soul,
Centric TV, and Music Choice.
Esnavi’s talent and charm wowed
the crowd, and, at the end of
her performance, she had a hard
time keeping up with the
requests for her new CD. Esnavi
is represented by
YAIndieGroundhouse. Let us know
if you want Esnavi to sing in
your next special event, or
purchase her CD's.
One of our evening’s sponsors
was Juliann Giurleo Agy Sioud, a
skin care specialist and she was
accompanied by Thomas Markowski.
Whether it's in front of the
camera, a special evening out,
or just day-to-day, Juliann can
show anyone how to look their
very best. Through her talent as
a clinical esthetician,
professional makeup artist and
permanent makeup artist, Juliann
has been able to develop a
refined and easy to follow
technique to guide anyone on a
path to looking their best. Our
guests were so excited after
Juliann applied her special
anti-aging product on their
hands. They commented that the
cream makes their hands feel so
smooth and wonderful. Make sure
to try her unique products and services.
Nick Alessi , designer and
master builder of the AR-1
Supercar was in attendance. The
AR-1 Supercar is a limited
production vehicle made in the
U.S.A. that blends art,
automotive technology, and
high-speed performance in one
unique package. As a cutting
edge designer, Nick is always
greeted by admiring groups of
auto enthusiasts, artists and
budding entrepreneurs. His
latest creation – the AR-1
Supercar is getting lots and
lots of publicity. The car is a
“must have” for many video and
movie directors looking to
create a super-unique screen
scene. And, some of our lucky
guests received the all-new AR-1
Supercar promotional shirt.
This attractive, colorful shirt
sports the AR-1 logo and is the
perfect item to wear to car
shows and sporting events.
At
our next event we may be
offering them again as door
prizes!
One of our two birthday
celebrants for June
was Dr. Thomas Mallios, a leader
in the medical industry, and a
member of Elite Professional
Networking Group. Also
“birthdaying it” was our German
guest Peter Plaschka, managing
director of Moving-Pictures, a
German company with offices
in New York City and Germany.
As always at our parties,
everyone joined in for a chorus
of Happy Birthday.
And birthday
cake, …ummm good!
We want to thank again Kenneth
McClure, the general manager of
the Trump Tower International
World Bar. Mr. McClure and his
staff did another outstanding
job for us and we say “Well
Done.” Ken is a very busy
professional - he is also the
vice-president of Hospitality
Holdings, a company that
operates eight different lounges
and restaurants, including The
Empire Room at the Empire State
Building. The Empire Room is
“the place” for afternoon
cocktails and a wonderful site
for your next special event. We
are very appreciative of the
time Ken gives to us at each
event!
