The Children's Defense Fund (CDF) is a non-profit child advocacy organization that has worked relentlessly for over 35 years to ensure a level playing field for all children.

They champion policies and programs that lift children out of poverty; protect them
from abuse and neglect; and ensure their access to health care, quality education and a
moral and spiritual foundation. Supported by foundation and corporate grants and individual donations, CDF advocates nationwide on behalf of children to
ensure children are always a priority.

The Children’s Defense Fund Leave No Child Behind® mission is to ensure every child a Healthy Start, a Head Start, a Fair Start, a Safe Start and a Moral Start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities.


 
We hosted a rare and exciting evening of ballroom dance performances in Houston, with proceeds of the event benefiting CDF's work in Texas.

The special evening showcased some of the most elite ballroom dance professionals
 in the world, including 
world Latin ballroom dance superstars
Riccardo Cocchi and Yulia Zagoruychenko 

who traveled to Houston for the first time ever to perform publicly for this charity event. The program also featured performances by Houston’s finest professional and Profession-Amature ballroom couples, a mini competition judged by the audience, and intermittent social dancing for attendees. We were grateful to support their mission for children in a unique and elegant way.
