A Happy New Year for Networking

We kicked off the New Year by having a wonderful event on Monday evening, January 14. While we would normally have a respite from so many holiday celebrations, there was so much demand for a networking party that we went ahead and scheduled the January festivities. And it turned out to be one of our most popular, fun packed events ever! If this is how things are going to unfold, we will have to have a marvelous year ahead of us!
The event was hosted by Elite Professional Networking Group, Black Tie International Magazine, Power Team International, Giorgio G Cognac , Emperors Brand and the AR-1 Supercar. The event was at the always-popular Trump Tower International World Bar, near the United Nations. Cozy, homey, and inviting, the World Bar is a great party venue. It has spectacular views and a vibe that brings a smile to everyone!
Anticipating a fun evening, our guests arrived ahead of time. David and Zina Mashin, co-owners of Emperors Brand were on hand early. Their company provides some of the world’s finest vodkas and Giorgio G Cognac (of famous designer Giorgio GUCCI). For those with discriminating taste and high standards, Emperors Brand and Giorgio G Cognac is the sought after name. Manny Sloan Manager of Wine World Wide Incorporated was also among our first guests.
We were very lucky, again, that the award-winning director, producer & writer Dean Love (of Life on Mars, Queen Elizabeth 1st the virgin queen and other movies) took the time to attend the event. Dean Love came with his guest Duvall O'Steen SAG Actor who has appeared in TV shows in NY & Paris and ia a Host for Jewelry Brands and marketing consultant for Jewelry TV. We’re also happy to see Mr. Kenneth Flornes, the director of Corporate Suites, as well as Sandy Jacolow the chief information officer of Silverstein Properties of the billionaire Larry Silverstein and also of the World Trade Center. We had a special mix of other A-list professionals helping us celebrate the new year – corporate executives, attorneys, architects, fashion designers, bankers, models and movie executives.
Our entertainment for the night was recording artist Shane. Her creative spirit goes straight to the heart with her majestic rock and soulful dance tunes. Shane is able to move seamlessly from her newly self-written compositions to some more familiar songs from the Bill Board charts. Her rich voice and skillful arrangements left everyone amazed.
We had a very big surprise during the evening. Even with a busy meetings with sponsors and a heavy television schedule, Indy race car driver Luca Forgeois (2011's USF2000 National Champion) came to the event. Guests were thrilled to have the opportunity to have a picture taken with this young champion.
Famed designer and car builder Nick Alessi of the AR-1Supercar, our regular sponsor and host, was also present. Guests enjoyed talking to him about his unique AR-1Supercar. While the new Bentley at the recent Detroit Auto Show was acclaimed to have a horsepower rating of 616, the AR-1Supercar pushes out 750 horsepower with its unique engine and twin turbo design.
It was Nick’s dream to build the world’s finest automobile by combining three elements: cutting edge art, super-power and premium luxury features. With a limited production of just fifty cars, the AR-1 Supercar is a ‘must have’ for the serious car enthusiast. There is really no other car that turns heads and leaves viewers so amazed. The AR-1 Supercar has been featured in a number of television shows and videos. Everyone agrees it is the perfect “fast and furious” vehicle to be featured in a future action film.
Once again, special thanks goes to Kenneth McClure, who is both the general manager of the Trump Tower International World Bar and the vice president of Hospitality Holdings. The firm Hospitality Holdings owns and manages nine establishments, including the Empire Room at the Empire State Building, the Carnegie Club and the Campbell Room at Grand Central Station. Ken, along with his staff, created the perfect party experience. Great food and drinks! They always give us the best service.
We held our silent auction again. We would like to thank all the guests who participated and our good friends who so generously donated items. All the money collected are donated to the Sandy Relief Fund, We plan to continue to hold silent auctions at our upcoming events.
I want to thank all our guests and our sponsors for supporting our events. Our next event is on February 12, our Valentine’s Day Celebration. I am one of the lucky people to have been born on Valentine’s Day. So, we will definitely have at least one birthday cake that evening. If you are celebrating your birthday in February or March or any time that we are doing our events, let us know ahead of time so we can get you a birthday cake and sing you Happy Birthday at the night of the event.
Our St. Patrick's Day Celebration is slated for March 14.
It promise to be a good one - we will have a lot of wonderful top executives flying in from all over the world to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with us.
