Last week I attended The French Heritage
Society Gala at
The Metropolitan Club. It was a lovely event and I was
thrilled to see
so many of my nearest and dearest.
Alessandra Emanuel and Michelle-Marie Heinemann,
at The French Heritage Society Gala.
The French Heritage Society is dedicated to
protecting the
French Architectural legacy both in France and the United
States
with an emphasis on raising funds for preservation and education.
There are thirteen chapters in the US and one
in Paris and they have supported the restoration of nearly
500 buildings and gardens since 1982

When I first entered the club I spotted the
beautiful Jennifer Piranesi and her dashing jeweler husband
Michel. They had so generously agreed to share their
gorgeous creations, displaying rare gems to purchase, and
giving a proceed to the nights cause. I tried on a
breathtaking pink sapphire and diamond bracelet that I am
putting on my Christmas list.

jewels are from Valenza, a town known for gold smithing and
jewelry making.

As we entered the dining room we found
ourselves side by side Victor de Souza, and Dr. Penny Grant.
The last time I saw Victor was at my party to celebrate my
family being on the cover of The Resident Magazine. I have
been meaning to call him as I wanted to commission one of
his beautiful designs. He is a superb fashion designer that
creates silhouettes that are both elegant and sophisticated.
His choice of fabrics are gorgeous and completely in keeping
with my taste. Penny looked heavenly in her Victor de Souza
gown!

The Gorgeous....Alessandra Emanuel
Upon sitting I knew I was going to have a
fabulous night as the gorgeous Alessandra Emanuel told me
the most hilarious story. It pertained to a recent date she
had been on....I love to laugh and those with a sense of
humor are stars in my book. She is definitely a star!
After this....
I was whisked away by my famous dinner
companion to my right, who shall remain anonymous, however a
truly marvelous dancer, he was. We will be seeing him and
his wife in Palm Beach shortly and are counting down the
days until we feel the sand and the sun.

Gala.
The artist, Isabelle Arpagian created a truly
unique work of art for the auction. A beautiful Oil on 24
Carat Goldleaf Egg, 30x40 cm. Isabelle has excelled in the
decorative arts and was recently commissioned by a private
art collector to design and paint an entire villa. In the
dining room of this Villa are original Tiffany stained glass
windows and Isabelle was asked to paint a mural to
compliment the windows. The hand-painted mural is a tribute
to one of the great American artists. Isabelle Arpagian is
lovely and a true master.

As the evening progressed I realized that I
promised my son I would quiz him for his spelling test the
following morning, ( we have an on going bet regarding these
tests ) so even though I wanted to stay just a little
longer,
I had to part. It was a truly beautiful evening.....
