My Dear Friends, Lucia Hwong Gordon and
Cassandra Seidenfeld were the gracious hosts and have been
very involved in this organization for a number of years.

The Women's Project Theatre was founded in 1978 by Suzanne
Pharr and holds
a
unique place as the nations oldest and largest company
dedicated to producing
and promoting theatre written and
directed by women.

Both my hosts had some very impressive remarks regarding
their longstanding relationship with the organization. With
great pride Cassandra said, "It is a honor that I celebrate
today's kick-off luncheon for The Women's Project 2014 Gala.
Together with past participants and new enthusiasts, I am
humbled to be involved with this organization that I feel so
closely bound to, not out of a sense of necessity rather a
sense of social obligation to myself and future women in the
entertainment industry as well as the world at large. The
message that Julia miles had in 1978 has transcended the
stigma that women faced through the decades and is now
resonating in the growing numbers of successful Female
directors, actors, producers, writers, and leaders who are
able to have a venue to showcase their work and their voice
as well as a place to have their gals realized. With a dream
and an opportunity these achievements were made possible by
a mutual collaborative effort with The Women's Project."

The gorgeous Lucia then embraced every lady in the room with
her beautiful energy
by saying, "I love gathering dynamic
friends who joyfully celebrate and support a new generation
of creative women directors and playwrights. The creative
theatrical arena brings new thoughts, dialogue and
inspiration. New Visions! Having an afternoon surrounded by
friends who make the world so beautiful with their spirit
and their talents is a joy! I am inspired by each of you
ladies to reach for the stars."
